History of the Lake County Rose Society

In 2002, a small group of rosarians met to discuss the possibility of starting a Rose Society in Lake County. After much discussion, and finding a local venue, affiliation with the ARS was pursued. Jack Fitzgerald, Dan Fitzgerald, Rose Gilardi, Tom and Mary Lois Welsh were the founders of the society which organized on October 20, 2002.

Serving the little communities of Lakeport and the lake-side resorts, the Lake County Rose Society presently has approximately 45 members.
